Since 2018, the PSI has been engaging with the Department of Health on advancing reform of the Pharmacy Act 2007 in the public interest. As part of this engagement a position paper was developed outlining the key challenges and weaknesses in the Act.  

The paper outlines the Act’s key challenges and weaknesses which were identified through significant problem identification, analysis and desk-based research. The paper also highlights some examples of regulatory tools and practices used by other regulators. 

 We look forward to sharing further updates on our progress in this area.
