Peter Dewhurst

Peter is a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and has several years audit and financial control experience in both the public, and private sectors in Ireland and overseas. He was Finance Manager for the Food Safety Promotion Board (FSPB) (2002-2010), and Stakeholder Development Manager for them (2011-2013), before retirement in 2013. Prior to this, he was an internal auditor with UK computer company, International Computers Ltd, and an external auditor with Touche Ross, as well as a financial controller with the oil company, Saudi Aramco. He is currently a member, and recent Chair (by rotation), of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Commission for Aviation. Whilst at the FSPB, a North-South Body established under the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, he chaired the HR Committee (2002-2010), to co-ordinate HR policies across the border, and resolve problems of mutual concern.
