Appointment process open to fill Ordinary Member vacancy on the PSI Council

The Minister for Health is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Ordinary Member to the Council (the governing board) of the PSI. 

The process is being conducted by the State Boards division of publicjobs. Details about the role and requirements, and about the PSI and its governance, can be read in the information booklet that is available on publicjobs.ie

The current application process in particular requires candidates with experience at the appropriate senior level in cybersecurity and information governance. 

The PSI is governed by a 21-member Council. All appointments to the PSI Council are made by the Minister for Health in accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Act 2007. Council members act in the public interest to ensure that the PSI’s statutory functions are performed effectively. Collectively, Council members provide the relevant expertise, knowledge, and experience necessary to fulfil all statutory duties and governance responsibilities.
